Beginners

Life is a journey, and our personal fitness levels and training takes us down different paths at different points in our life.  So please don’t let the name confuse you! At Running Central we are not just “about” runners.   At Running Central we are about walkers, runners, workers, moms, dads, grandparents, little kids, fitness enthusiasts, and all people who are seeking to simply take their first steps back to improving their personal health and wellness!

We are pleased to offer our community a variety of free clinics that take place on a regular basis such as: Running 101, Prehab Not Rehab/Trigger Point Clinic, Good Form/Natural Running, and Seasonal Survival Clinics.  In addition, we offer a variety of clinics where trained professionals from the community come to the store and present on topics such as: Dynamic vs. Static Stretching, Hydration/Nutrition Clinics, Injury Specific Clinics and more!

If you are looking for a little more structure and on-going support, we would encourage you to take a look at our “No More Excuses” beginning 5k training program!  This 10 week program happens 3 times each year and takes participants through a full educational and physical training program to help prepare one to not just finish a 5k at the end of the program, but more importantly, our participants will leave this program with information and knowledge that will help spur their future motivation to continue their journey toward improving health and wellness!

The most important thing for you to remember is that at Running Central you never need to spend a dime in our store to come in and talk with our team members.  You don’t need to wait for a free clinic to come in and ask how to use your Tiger Tail or Trigger Point.  If your calf, plantar, or IT band has been giving you fits, come into Running Central to talk to one of our experienced team members.  It’s not uncommon that our customers find that many aches and pains can be addressed with a couple stretches and exercises.  Yes, we want you to come into to talk to us about your training experiences!  It is truly when we can talk with you, that we can present potential solutions to your quest for your perfect walk or your perfect run!
